1983 PANTERA 28 Race, Factory Restored 1983 Pantera 28 Race Offshore Powerboat. Triple Mercury 2.4 EFI Offshore Engines. The cockpit interior is a custom 5-Man Bolster with rear sunpad and forward mid-cabin. The powertrain was rebuilt by Mercury Racing with only 5 hours since the rebuild - perfect compression on every cylinder. We added a custom alternator driven off the fly wheel to eliminate the excessive draw on the rectifiers from the electric fuel pumps. Every guage, wire and cable were replaced as well as all upholstery and paint. The hull is rock solid and rides better than any new 28' powerboat made today. The hull design is a 24 degree deep-V with heavy duty stringers and solid bulkheads. In short you can hit any size wave and land softly. This is the most fun rough water V-Botttom I have driven. The boat runs 78-82 mphs depending on conditions and RPM.
