During this tough economy, a lot of people are now trying to get back on the items of big ticket so they'll be able to stretch the dollars even further. 1 exception for this rule, especially for Florida - is recreational boats. Economic waters are little choppy now but still setting the sail. Association of National Marine Manufacturers says that the sales went up by 6 percent for the year 2011. It was first increase of this industry since the year 2006. Florida has accounted for about $1.5 billion dollars of these sales, up by 35 percent over the year 2010. 1st Bertram Yacht which was built on the Merritt Island was ordered recently. Twin diesels of the luxury model of sport fisherman will be roaring to life by end of this year on Canaveral Barge Canal, with launch of new era for Brevard County manufacturing. Andrew & Christina Ostrowski had brought a lot of for their team on Saturday. With the hair green dyed & painted face & pink hot tutu, this couple took front seats while paddling for the Georgia Health Sciences University team of dragon boat @ Good Boats festival of dragon boat @ Lake Olmstead for benefiting Goodwill. Andrew Ostrowski, sat close to his wife @ front of 20-persons boat and he said that his team has got the right spirit. 20 teams had taken to 250-meters course through out day. This event show cased Asian culture in demonstrations of singing, dances, & traditional musical Chinese instruments & tai chi. The prices gas are expected going to peak @ whopping rate of $4.25 in this spring & for few areas of this country, rising gasoline cost is sinking he boat sales. This doesn't hold true in KELOLAND though. 1 dealership of boat has had best season for more than one decade. Average cost for filling up any boat is around $120. However, that is not stopping the people from getting hitched and driving them in this spring. Mike Oyen, the Sales Manager at Soo Sports, says that fishing was really fantastic in the last year in this river & it started fantastic for this year & he says when there is seventy or eighty degrees in the month of March, there are people coming here to set this place alive. Boat launch with out the attached trailer parking is not much of boat launch, say members of City Council. Members of City Council - Steve Adams & Ron Edinger wish to re visit conceptual plan of McEuen Field by directing the designers of Team McEuen, for including current trailer boat lot of parking @ 3rd Street marina. It does not make a lot of sense for keeping  boat launch & not adjoining lot of parking; that is fair in spirit of compromises according to them. This topic will be going before City Council in the next week post Edinger & Adams requested it to get placed on agenda of next week during the general services meeting of committee on Monday. City residents at Iloilo will get to see Philippine Dragon Boat team when it sails on Friday on Iloilo River during 40th Ruby Anniversary of Iloilo Paraw Regatta Festival. Organisers of RB12 for this year said that there will be 50 boats, 50 aircrafts, and 50 cars, will racing around simultaneously Britain. This was revealed some time ago. Falmouth, Conwy, Swansea, Troon, Thurso, the Kyle of Lochalsh, Hull, Edinburgh, and Ramsgate will be serving as over night stops for element of 'Sea' and finish/start points for their cars.
